For most of my career, I have worked in two very different worlds.
One has been the world of financial markets, trading and economic analysis. The other has been the world of Christian ministry, charitable work and serving people.
Over time, I have come to believe that these worlds are not in conflict with one another. In fact, they share many of the same principles.
Wise stewardship matters.
Good leadership matters.
Serving others matters.
Whether we are managing money, leading organisations, running businesses or supporting charitable work, we are ultimately entrusted with resources, responsibilities and opportunities that can be used for good.
This section of the website is where I share reflections from that intersection of markets, leadership and mission.
Here you’ll find lessons from my experience in financial markets, insights from leadership and organisational life, and reflections from my work with Birmingham City Mission and other charitable initiatives.
My hope is that these resources will encourage people who want not only to succeed professionally, but also to lead wisely, serve faithfully and make a meaningful contribution to the people around them.
Because success is not simply measured by what we accumulate.
It’s also measured by what we build, who we help and the impact we leave behind.
